CARNIVAL ONLINE CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS:

To expedite your check-in process for your cruise, please go to this web page and complete the Carnival online check in within 14 days of sailing (unless your have priority check in then you have 48 hrs. prior to other guests to check in) and at least 3 days prior to your cruise at at http://www.carnival.com Manage My Booking.

Please note: If you do not pre-register you must arrive at least 2 hours prior to close of check in at the cruise check-in counter to allow enough time to complete this at the pier. Boarding may be denied without refund of payment if enough time is not allowed for this.

Set up onboard expense account: if persons in the cabin each want to set up their own separate account then for the other person(s) listed select set up account at another time. Note: member without charging privileges is for a child in the cabin.

Print the boarding pass and luggage tags once you complete your registration to take with you to the pier. Note: you may not be able to print these until everyone in your cabin’s online check-in is complete.

NOTE: If you do not have internet access, please call Carnival @ 1-866-721-3224 to have a form faxed to you. You must return your completed form by fax no later than 5 business days prior to sailing.

STAGGERED CHECK IN TIMES: During online check in you will select a time to be at the pier for your check in. Available time slots usually begin approx.11AM and then every 1/2 HR until about 2PM with slots closing as they fill up. Check in online early if you want to arrive as early as possible. If you board early, plan to have lunch at the Lido Deck Buffet as you wait for the ship to sail away.

When can I book my shore excursions? From www.carnival.com
Provided you have a valid cruise booking number and have met all deposit requirements for each guest you are booking shore excursions for, you can book shore excursions online beginning 120 days before your sail date. Keep in mind, unless otherwise noted in the shore excursion description, you will have until 3 days prior to sailing to make new shore excursion bookings. If you would like to purchase excursions after the cut-off date, you will need to do so once onboard. Some excursions have a limited capacity so booking early may ensure that the excursions you want are available.

Carnival - SECURITY SCREENING AND PROHIBITED ITEMS POLICY

In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, Carnival prohibits certain items onboard, i.e., weapons, candles, irons, alcohol, or other dangerous goods. According to our policy, Carnival conducts security scanning of all luggage and if prohibited items are found, they will be removed and stored for safekeeping until the end of the voyage. Retained item(s) will be delivered to the guest’s stateroom on the last night of their cruise. Unsealed liquids that are prohibited will be discarded, as well as any unclaimed items left after the voyage, and no compensation will be given in either case. 

IMPORTANT - All luggage must be unlocked before being turned over to the porters in order to avoid any inconvenience or delay in delivering the luggage to the guest’s stateroom. For additional information, current policies please refer to the terms and conditions located in our cruise ticket contract and related FAQs on Carnival.com.

LIQUOR AND BEVERAGE POLICY (CRUISE DEPARTURES JULY 9, 2015 AND ONWARD)
A liquor and beverage consumption policy was created in order for Carnival to be able to control the liquor consumption of minors and the quantities consumed that lead to the disruptive behavior of others on board.

The minimum age for the purchase and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages in the bars, lounges and gift shops is 21 years of age. In the event that Bar/Restaurant/Gift Shop Staff are in question that the guest is less than 21 years old, they shall request picture identification, prior to serving the drink or selling the bottle of liquor.   

Carnival reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcoholic beverages to anyone.     
For cruises starting on or after July 9, 2015, a change to our Liquor & Beverage Policy will take effect where guests will no longer be allowed to bring on board water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages packaged in bottles. Additionally, any confiscated items will also be discarded.

Bringing Liquor and Beverages Onboard - Embarkation
Guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages onboard that are packaged in bottles.
A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, and milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought onboard on embarkation day only in guests’ carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person.
Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception: 
At the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750 ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne per person in their carry-on luggage.
A $15 USD corkage fee (a charge exacted at a restaurant for every bottle of wine served that was not bought on the premises), per 750 ml bottle, will be charged should guests wish to consume their wine or champagne in the main dining room, steakhouse or bar.
All liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages outside of the exceptions referenced above are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided.  
Distilled Water
Guests may bring on board distilled water for use with a CPAP machine or nursery water for families with babies and packed in carry-on luggage.Distilled water may also be purchased onboard per gallon for a fee by contacting Room Service. The CPAP machine must be packed in carry-on luggage.
Coolers
Guests are prohibited from bringing large coolers onboard since screening and movement of large coolers through embarkation is an impediment to the boarding and security process. However small, personal-sized coolers, no larger than 12”H x 12”L x 12”W for the purpose of housing small quantities of non-alcoholic beverages and/or medications are permitted as carry-on luggage.

Bottled Water
There is a fee (plus tax) for a 12-pack of 500 ML of bottled water for pre-cruise purchase. Please visit carnival.com Manage My Booking select The Fun Shops then  in stateroom Food & Beverage to place your order before your cruise to ensure we have an ample supply onboard.

All alcohol purchased in ports of call will be returned on the morning of debarkation. 
The Fun Shops (onboard)
All alcohol purchased in The Fun Shops onboard will be returned on the morning of debarkation.

All alcohol purchased through The Fun Shops (via telephone order or online) for on board consumption is designed for in-stateroom entertainment only. Guests cannot take liquor bottles with them to public areas. Only wine or champagne that was ordered through The Fun Shops can be served in the dining room or Steakhouse. Please note:
If you are traveling to Cancun or Cozumel after February 1, 2015, you will enjoy an extra hour of daylight in the evening. 
The Mexican state of Quintana Roo, which includes Cancun and Cozumel, changed to Eastern Standard Time Zone effective February 1, 2015, when the state set its clocks ahead 1 HR.

Please note: Carnival automatically charges gratuity visit carnival.com for the latest info on gratuity (gratuity is higher for suites and upper categories) to your onboard Sail and Sign account. Check their website for the latest gratuity amount.

There is also a wine package called "Cruising The Vineyards" available through the Bon Voyage Dept. order/purchase prior to your cruise or on the ship check with the dining personnel or one of the bars. There may also be some tables set up near the dining room to sign up. See more info below

1) Everyone will need to go online at www.rccl.com or www.celebritycruises.com to pre-register approx. 3-4 weeks prior to sailing for the cruise. Click on Before You Board/Already Booked then click on On Line check-in. Once you complete this step print out your 1 page boarding pass to present when you check-in at the cruise terminal on the day of sailing.

The cruise lines no longer send out travel documents and luggage tags. Everything is printed from on line once you pre-register for the cruise.

2) Beginning about 45 days prior to sailing, go online at www.rccl.com or www.celebritycruises.com.Click on Before You Board then Countdown to Cruise/Cruise Documentation and print your cruise e-docs. Print all of the document or just the pages that you want (ground transfer voucher if purchased) and also print your luggage tags.

When can I book my shore excursions?

Royal Caribbean: Excursions can be reserved online up to 4 days before your sail date or 10 days prior to the start day of your Alaska Cruisetour. If you are sailing in less than 4 days, you will need to make your reservations onboard

Guests are not allowed to bring alcoholic (no beer or hard liquor) or non-alcoholic beverages (bottled water, sodas, juice, etc.) onboard for consumption or any other use. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased in ports-of-call or from Shops On Board will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of the sailing. Alcoholic beverages seized on embarkation day will not be returned. Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol. Guests who violate any alcohol policies, (over consume, provide alcohol to people under age 21, demonstrate irresponsible behavior, or attempt to conceal alcoholic items at security and or luggage check points or any other time), may be disembarked or not allowed to board, at their own expense. Guests who are under the permitted drinking age will not have alcohol returned to them.

New Wine Policy: Guests wishing to bring personal wine and champagne onboard may do so only on boarding day, limited to two (2) 750 ml bottles per stateroom. When consumed in any public area, each bottle shall be subject to a corkage fee of $25.00. Additional bottles of wine beyond two (2) bottles that are brought onboard or any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports-of-call or from Shops On Board will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of the sailing. Alcoholic beverages seized on embarkation day will not be returned.

You can have this amount completely removed and give your cabin steward/dining personnel whatever amount you wish on the last night of the cruise, tip night. The Customer Service desk should have tip envelopes that you can use for this purpose. 

Or, you can leave the gratuity automatically billed during your cruise to your SeaPass account to cover gratuity to your cabin/dining services personnel.

Alaska Weather:
You'll find  Alaska's summer temperatures  surprisingly pleasant. Daytime highs range from 60°F - 80°F. Nighttime lows are refreshingly cool, dipping into the 40's - 50's. May and September are 5°- 10° cooler. However, temperatures vary wildly depending on which region of Alaska  you plan to visit.
